Fertility Rate Comparison for Europe and Latin America

The following graph shows the relation between the GNI per capita and the fertility rate comparing Europe and Latin America for the year 2015. 
We can see the correlation between higher income and a lower fertility rate and vice versa:


The decline in fertility is one of the most important changes in the world. In the following chart we can see how long it took each country to reach the level of 2 births per woman (Data from 1960 to 2015).

The fertility rate represents the number of children that would be born to a woman if she were to live to the end of her childbearing years and bear children in accordance with age-specific fertility rates of the specified year and the GNI per capita is the dollar value of a country's final income in a year, divided by its population.
